THE CONFERENCE
A platform for the next generation of leaders.
Chittagong Grammar School Model United Nations was launched in 2024 and has grown into one of the largest school-based Model United Nations conferences in Chattogram.
CGSMUN is organised end to end by the students of Chittagong Grammar School. Delegates from different institutions represent countries and engage with complex global issues through the structures and procedures of the United Nations.
Beyond competition, CGSMUN is designed as a platform for intellectual growth: opening perspectives, building confidence and encouraging young people to think beyond borders.

AGENDAAddressing the threats to international shipping and freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The CTC facilitates international cooperation, develops counter-terrorism frameworks and monitors implementation of measures designed to combat terrorism.
AGENDAPreventing the exploitation of emerging technologies and decentralized finance (DeFi) by non-state actors.
NATO focuses on collective defense and security through political consultation, strategic planning and military cooperation.

DELEGATE HANDBOOK
Professionalism is part of the experience.

Code of Conduct
Respect the Chair and procedures. Follow established MUN procedures, speaking times, formalities and debate protocols.
Follow the speaking order. Raise your placard and wait for the Chair before speaking.
Show professionalism in behaviour. Maintain decorum and avoid disruptive behaviour.
Respect cultural and national differences. Treat all perspectives with sensitivity.
Arrive on time. Be punctual for opening ceremonies, committee meetings and caucuses.
No smoking, vaping, alcohol or illegal substances. These are strictly prohibited during the conference.
No wandering off. Remain in designated areas and do not leave without permission.
Respect venue rules. Follow venue restrictions, signage and staff instructions.
Maintain cleanliness. Dispose of waste properly and use designated bins.
Take care of personal belongings. CGSMUN cannot be held responsible for loss or damage.
Maintain a harassment-free environment. Harassment of any form will not be tolerated.

Dress Code
DAY 1 · FORMAL ATTIRE
Male: Collared full-sleeved shirt, formal trousers, well-pressed blazer and polished shoes. A complete suit is most appropriate.
Female: Conventional tops or shirts with formal pants and comfortable shoes.
DAY 2 · TRADITIONAL ATTIRE
Clothing should tie in with cultural themes and remain relaxed yet appropriate.
DAY 3 · FORMAL ATTIRE
Male: Collared full-sleeved shirt, formal trousers, blazer and polished shoes. A complete suit is most appropriate.
Female: Conventional tops or shirts with formal pants and comfortable shoes.
